Meet The Face Behind TBL Financial
I’m Gus Chouli, proud owner of TBL Financial.
I look forward to sharing my story. I hope that you will enjoy getting to know me better.
The most enjoyable part of my profession is working with the great people I meet, solving the tough problems and getting clients out of tough situations. Knowing that it is about real people that have real families and count on their business to support their kids; being able to contribute to that is simply fantastic!
I had the ambition to step out on my own, and I wanted to provide business owners and individuals starting out with the proper service and guidance to help me achieve their end game. I saw a need for a dedicated service-oriented approach to customer care and made it my purpose to provide it for my clients.
I have created an explainer video on my new YouTube Channel, to help you understand more about the services I provide. To view it, please click here.
I was found to have an aptitude for numbers, right from my school days in Toronto. I have been working in the capacity of Finance for approximately twenty-five years now. I began by helping in my family business when I was in my teens. I would do the bank deposits and balance the cash registers and other duties like that.
I took business administration with a major in business and minor in accounting. From there I worked mainly on accounting jobs but eventually decided I would be better off on my own. Each employment opportunity allowed me to learn something valuable which led to me taking those experiences and using them to provide a level of service that my clients need. I provide Bookkeeping / Accounting Services, Tax Preparation for Businesses and Individuals, Consulting and Auditing Services, and Insolvency solutions for individuals.
The top three skills that help me perform my job well are time management, clear communication, and multitasking. I attribute my success to my diligence, perseverance, knowing when to back off and regroup and managing my emotions.
When it comes to the most satisfying moment in business I would say that I am not there yet, there is so much to do, so much has gone right in the last two years but I had many personal tragedies that offset that. So although things are going well, in a way, this is a bit of rebirth. I have learned a lot from trial and error, learning from my own experiences as well as the mistakes of others who led terribly. It is amazing what you can pick up when you watch and learn!
I would love to be a full-time musician, playing music all of the time would be amazing. Having so much fun while at work would be amazing. It would be like a dream come true. While my work now has its rewards, I have no complaints but the ultimate kind of job would be one where you would never feel you are working.
Apart from being a musician, I am a hobby photographer too. I love cooking, reading and learning new things. I have contributed to the MS Society; having two family member afflicted with this disease really makes this a personal cause for me.
I have enjoyed sharing my story about the things which matter to me and how they influence the way I do business
